Breast Augmentation 23 April, 2025

Breast augmentation is a procedure that achieves increased breast volume, which is usually accompanied by a significant improvement in the cleavage and overall appearance of the breasts. To achieve this goal, cohesive silicone gel breast implants are used. There are several brands on the market. At Majestic Plastic Surgery, we offer our patients different options, with extended warranties on medical devices and highly supported medical and scientific studies. Our portfolio includes Eurosilicon, Motiva, and Mentor implants, the most widely supported brands on the market.

When choosing the type of implant to use, we can choose between smooth, nanotextured, or microtextured implants, and round or anatomical (teardrop) shapes. They can be equipped with or without a chip with information, and the volume is completely variable, with an immensely wide range, ranging from 150 cc to 800 cc, allowing us to find a specific prosthesis for each of our patients and personalize each case.

At Majestic Plastic Surgery, we believe that the final result is largely determined by the surgeon’s concept of beauty. At Majestic, the blending of two concepts—feminine and masculine—and the presence of two surgeons in the same procedure guarantees a much greater perspective of body harmony. This is achieved in a shorter surgical time and with unparalleled support, thus achieving unparalleled results.

When is it indicated:

This procedure is indicated for patients:

Who wish to increase the volume of their breasts
Weight loss patients who require breast volume restructuring
Patients who wish to highlight the upper poles of the breasts
Patients who wish to create a more defined and striking cleavage
Patients seeking to create a harmonious breast contour
Patients with a history of breast cancer who require breast reconstruction, under specific conditions
Patients who wish to improve the shape of their breasts
Patients who wish to improve the symmetry of their breasts (asymmetrical breasts)

How it’s performed:

It’s important to always conduct a preoperative consultation to determine the patient’s requirements, expectations, and condition before the procedure. Afterward, we perform the surgery in an operating room with complete asepsis and antisepsis. There are different approaches to performing breast augmentation, the most commonly used being an incision in the inframammary fold and an incision in the lower edge of the areola. Through this incision, we perform a layered dissection until we reach the anatomical area where we will create the pocket for the implant. This, depending on the patient, can be behind the muscle, behind the mammary gland, behind the fascia, or in a dual plane, meaning that one part of the implant is covered by the muscle and the other part by the gland. After this, the implant is placed in the desired plane, we verify that there is no bleeding and that the implant’s security seal is in place. We then close the layers and place a special bra, which functions as a girdle to permanently support the breasts during recovery.
