Phalloplasty 23 April, 2025
Phalloplasty is a procedure that improves the aesthetic appearance of the male genital area. There are different ways to achieve this harmony: we can lengthen the penis or increase its girth. Many men commonly feel insecure about the size or shape of their penis, conditions that can be modified or improved through surgical or minimally invasive procedures. There is no specific size requirement to be a candidate for these procedures; it is simply an option to aesthetically enhance the genital area of a patient with any underlying condition. Penile girth can be improved through the application of fatty tissue or hyaluronic acid. Generally speaking, a change in girth of approximately 1-2 cm is expected. To achieve a change in penis length, we make an incision over the suspensory ligament of the penis, achieving an increase of 2-4 cm in length. Results vary depending on the patient’s underlying condition, postoperative care, and expectations prior to surgery. It is a procedure that causes little disability, with moderate and tolerable pain, and a satisfactory outcome in most cases. However, it does require some special care after the procedure. At Majestic Plastic Surgery, we believe that the final result is largely determined by the surgeon’s concept of beauty. At Majestic, the combination of feminine and masculine concepts, and the presence of two surgeons in the same procedure, guarantees superior body harmony, with shorter surgical time and unparalleled support, thus achieving unparalleled results. When is it indicated: This procedure is indicated for patients: • Who wish to increase the thickness of their penis. • Who wish to lengthen their penis. How to do it: It is important to always conduct a pre-surgical consultation to determine the patient’s requirements, expectations, and conditions before the procedure. Subsequently, always in a completely aseptic and antiseptic operating room, we perform the surgery. An incision will be made in the pubis, the planes will be dissected, and a cut will be made over the suspensory ligament of the penis to increase its length. If necessary, liposuction of the mons pubis can be performed to increase the visibility of the penis from the base. Also, if required, a fat transfer will be performed to the penis to increase its girth. Instructions before surgery: • Do not take anti-inflammatory medications such as aspirin, ibuprofen, diclofenac, etc., as they affect blood clotting and can increase bleeding during surgery. If you experience any pain, you may only take acetaminophen. • Please notify us if you are taking any herbal medications, vitamins, or natural supplements, as some may cause problems during surgery. Ideally, discontinue them at least one week before the procedure (Ginkgo biloba / Omega 3 / Multivitamins). • If you develop a common cold, injury, or any other condition during this period, please notify us. • Smoking can affect your healing process; please stop smoking at least 15 days before the procedure.
